Mount Rainier was fabulous! Push the arrow to the left to see a funny video of the big kids 'sledding!' We had a great week in Seattle, Washington, visiting the Museum of Flight, the Future of Flight and Boeing Factory Tour, the Discovery Science Museum, the Aquarium, the Space Needle day and night, the Zoo, taking a harbor cruise and playing in the snow at Mount Rainier, which is where the first picture was taken. The second one is a video of Pam racing down the hill and colliding with Karl, who just couldn't go as fast. Oops!! The temperature was a comfortable 70 degrees, but the snow was cold! You see that airplanes were a focal point for us, because Jonathan was with us! You see him studying the sea planes, deboarding the Air Force One, then we were able to enjoy God's creation full of large trees, snowy mountains, and beautiful rivers. Our favorite story was one of running out of gas, but it being no problem. Ask if you want details! : ) All in all, we had a blast, and surely didn't mind the temperatures being 30 degrees lower than in Texas in July. It never rained, and was a fabulous week! Rolling down the hills at the zoo, then sledding down Mount Rainier were highlights for us, as we all acted like children. Isn't that what vacations are all about?? The next video is of the Fish Throwin' at Pike Place Market, and the last is my little gerbils at the Science Museum.

Galveston is still recovering from the hurricanes, but it is still a fun place to spend a weekend, especially when you add in NASA and the San Jacinto celebration! Karl and the kids are in front of the rocket, and Pam and kids are in the surrey, as we all rode down the seashore.

Easter 2009 at Grandma and Granddaddy's home with Great Grandma Chunn. We had a cake that demonstrated how Jesus's light could not be kept out, as He could not be kept in the grave. Push the Play button (arrow) to see the video.
It looks like Jonathan is outgrowing his mom! This picture is a little decieving, but he is exactly Pam's height on Easter 2009.

Keri decided to be in the Strings group at school this year, so we rented her first violin at 8 pm yesterday. It is a 1/4 size--very small! She decided to figure out how to play it on her own tonight, and she and Jonathan have played their first duet! While I am posting this, they are learning more songs and perfecting this one.

Keri, Jonathan, and Pam had a fabulous time in Philadelphia, Valley Forge, New Jersey and New York City, as we traveled for a research study for Keri. We saw so much history, and saw cousin Robin and Aunt Leah, and Allison's fiance, Nathan. Here is the lighter side of our trip.

We spent a fun-filled week in New Mexico and Arizona, and even a couple hours in Utah at Rainbow Bridge on Lake Powell. Tours of various canyons, as well as the mountains of Albuquerque were amazing! A great time was had by all!

Mom's Lemon Ice Box Pie 3 eggs, separated 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1/3 cup lemon juice Combine egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk. Mix well. Add lemon juice. Pour into prepared graham cracker crust. Use egg whites for meringue and brown in 350 oven. For meringue beat egg whites until stiff. Add 2 tablespoons sugar for each egg white. Add to egg white 2 tablespoons at a time beating well after each. Continue to beat until all sugar is dissolved completely. After browning let pie sit in warm oven with door open for a while. That helps stop the bubbles from forming on the meringue.
